Interviewstreet.com helping companies find the ideal candidate!

Who is an “ideal job candidate”?  How do you know if he/she is exactly whom the company is looking for? Does he/she have the abilities that you are seeking for?….. Too many questions to ponder while selecting the right candidate for your company. My HR friends tell me it is one “gruelling and challenging  process” to find that ideal candidate.

When a company recieves a resume from an applicant, it talks only about the applicant’s strengths and accomplishments not about his/her weakness. Certain parameters are required to recognise the  ideal job candidate. This comes in the form of aptitude tests, psychometric tests, group discussions and face to face interview sessions. However there have been numerous occassions when a candidate who has been selected has failed  to live upto the company’s expectations.

Time is an important factor for corporates especially when they are in desperate need of excellent human resources. Spending endless hours on filtering countless resumes and then realising during the interview process this the candidate is not really worthy enough can be “time and money waste”. More often than not, companies would strive for a platform that could simply the entire process of filtering the unworthy from the worthy candidates.

Interviewstreet is probably that ideal platform that companies have been seeking since time immemorial to assist them in attaining that perfect job candidate. This enterprising venture was started by two young budding entrpreneurs, Vivek (“my best friend”) and Hari. Both these Computer Science graduates from NIT, Trichy were passionate programmers and always had the strong desire to give back something in the field of Computer Science. Risking their career at a very young age by leaving high-profile jobs at top mulltinational companies, they forged ahead many obstacles to start their own venture-Interviewstreet. At present the company boasts of top corporates like amazon, facebook, cleartrip, flipkart.com etc.
