For the very first time the New Ford Focus models in Europe are going to offer its customers with wi-fi. The SYNC with MyFord Touch system will turn the car into a moving wi-fi hotspot. This new system will come with a security system with its own password protection for up to five tablet devices, mobiles or laptops within the vehicle. According to the firm, the system will utilise customers’ existing USB modes or smartphones, meaning there is necessity of signing any additional contracts with the phone operators.

The wi-fi capability is also set to be future-proof, as SYNC will be constantly updated to be compatible with devices that haven’t been invented yet. Car buyers can expect the 2012 Ford Focus models to hit European shores next year to

be equipped with the SYNC WiFi hotspot. According to a Ford representative, Mr. Christof Kellerwessel, the new wi-fi system in Ford vehicles will be the future. The company decided to proceed with this technology since they found Ford customers are extremely tech savvy and – while travelling as passengers in cars – they want to be able to use their WiFi enabled devices. A reliable in-car Internet connection is therefore extremely important to them, and that’s exactly what the SYNC will offer when the car makes it to the European shore.

With a monthly fee of $55, Cricket music phone with the Muve Music package will entitle subscribers get access to numerous facilities such as unlimited music and ringtone downloads, nationwide phone service, texting, picture and video messaging, a Web browser and data backup. Although most smartphones come out with good download and streaming capabilities, Muve is unique in that it bundles all of these features for a very affordable rate without any hidden costs. Also any Muve listeners can bypass the computer entirely in the download process.

One main reason for cricket’s monthly service fees attract numerous customers who don’t want to get attached with any long-term contracts with larger mobile carriers. The Muve service comes out with a consumer response to Cricket’s ringtone and ringback tone services. So far, the service has gathered quite a lot of attention by netting 50,000 subscribers with more soon to follow. Muve isn’t just a music streaming service. The downloads can be stored on a memory card that has a capacity of 3,000 songs and can be further expanded to 6,000 songs depending on the memory. Because these songs are also stored in the phone, the user will be able listen to their downloads even if they’re out of Cricket’s service range.

However the songs that have been downloaded from Muve can neither be burned to CDs nor transferred to MP3 players, computers or other listening devices. Currently the service works only with Samsung’s Suede mobile phone. and the company will expand the offering to other mobile phones, including the Android phones, later this year.
