Salamander Cookshop for long has been one of Britain’s leading cookshops. Since 1993 this leading kitchenware retailer’s philosophy has been to offer home-makers with the best kitchen equipment – quality cookware, bakeware, knives, mills and other kitchen utensils and accessories – from around the world.

Now the Leading kitchenware retailer, Salamander Cookshop, has also have launched the online version of their store to bring the same shopping experience. This new website has been streamlined in a manner where the customer journey is drastically improved and at the same time provide a simpler and easier experience. The new site has been developed after extensive customer feedback and results from the site analytics revealed shoppers were more likely to search by brand than category.

Some of the new features in the website include: a bespoke, alphabetised mega menu, and an improved what is new feature, so finding favourite brands such as Rösle utensils, Silverwood, Couzon or Fissler cookware has never been easier. The new site will also bring the introduction of infinite scroll technology – allowing extra pages of product results to load at the users ease without requiring them to click through dozens of pages.

Apart from the usability features that brings an enriching shopping experience , the new website also places a greater emphasis on social media – allowing any website user to share or bookmark products and interact with Salamander Cookshop on Facebook and Twitter.

After assessing the way customers interacted with the previous site, the products they were commonly looking for and how easy it was to find them, the new site was designed to be more task orientated so that customers could complete these desired objectives quickly. Many mobile phone manufacturers have started bring out diff kinds of facebook apps which is gaining tremendous popularity. India’s telecom major Airtel announced the free availability of Facebook’s mobile site for it users. Any Airtel users can avail this exciting facility for two months ….what’s the catch???? HMMMMMM…. Well you can start using Facebook without paying any charge!!!

Hence with Facebook on their phone, these users will be able to access Facebook just like how do they do it on the COMP…. post status updates, write comment as well as on walls, message others, and also be able to view or upload photo( WOW!!!!…Sounds really exciting). The free acess to Airtel subscribers will be available for the month of July and August.

Also the company has announced that these Facebook subscribers will be able to access Facebook in five additional Indian languages such as Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam by 15th of July. Currently it is accessible in Hindi and English. This new opportunity with Bharti Airtel is a great opportunity to bring full mobile experience to their 130 million customers across India. Every other day we see a new cell phone in the market. This on hand gives us enough reason to believe that technology is certainly on the move. However, release of new cell phones in the market makes it increasngly difficult for the consumers. Just when you thought Sony Ericsson had a winner in hand with the X-peria Series WOLLA!!!! the company has announced the launch of its new QWERTY handset, Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro in the Indian market. The handset is also on sale through the retailers present through out the country.

Talking about the body dimensions and exterior features, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro has a 3.2 inch touchscreen with a pretty high resolution of 640×360 pixels. The phone also offers an internal memory of 70MB which can be expanded to 32 GB through a MicroSD card.

The device works on the Symbian OS platform, and offers a wide variety of apps like Twitter, Google Maps, Facebook, YouTube and Picasa. The other features include media player, Bluetooth with A2DP, micro USB connector, Exchange active sync, picture messaging, HD video recording, a GPS navigation support, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack etc.

The best part about the phone is that it has a 5 Mega pixel camera with face detection, geo-tagging, smile detection, video light features. This certainly imporves the picture quality and is way better than the other QWERTY handset phone. The battery of the phone offers 5 hours 10 minutes of talk time and upto 440 hours of standby time in UMTS/HSPA 900/2100 networks while on GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 networks the talktime can be extended upto 12 hours 30 minutes. The phone is certainly modestly priced at Rs. 24,500 in India considering the wide variety of features it has to offers. SO IS IT REALLY WORTH THE BUY????? YES IT IS!!!
